Former IUPsyS President Michel Denis awarded the Ordre National de la Legion D'Honneur (National Order of the Legion of Honour) by the President of the French Republic. This is the highest civilian distinction in France. A letter of congratulation from current President Rainer K Silbereisen may be seen here.
Nominations are invited for IUPsyS-sponsored awards 2012: the Mattei Dogan Prize, plus new Young Investigator Awards, Achievement Against the Odds Award and Lifetime Career Award. Further details. Deadline for nominations: 30 September 2011
It is with great sadness that we report the death of Professor Mattei Dogan, Emeritus Research Director of Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, Paris, and founder of the Fondation Mattei Dogan. Professor Dogan, who died on 10 October 2010 aged 90, was a good friend of the Union’s international mission, including sponsoring a Prize in Psychology offered jointly by the Fondation and the Union.
