The ABRAPEE was founded in 1990 by a group of psychologists interested in bringing together the students and professionals in the field,in order to the legal recognition of the need of school psychologists in educational institutions as well as stimulating and disseminating research in the areas of educational and school psychology.
The Brazilian Association of Educational and School Psychology is a civil, non-profit organization that aims to encourage the growth of science and profession of school and educational psychologist, as a means of promoting the welfare and human development, focusing for that the educational process in its broadest sense.
