The Uganda National Psychological Association has 200 members. Membership is open to all people with basic qualification in psychology and related fields but after scrutiny by the governing council on advice from the qualifications board.
Aims, goals and functions of the Uganda National Psychological Association are to oversee all matters relating to psychology in Uganda and to those of practicing and teaching psychology, promotes the diffusion of knowledge both pure and applied; efficiency, and usefulness of members by promoting high standards of professional education, knowledge and application. The Uganda National Psychological Association creates awareness of the use of psychology in a better exploitation of human resources through gatherings, e.g., conferences, workshops, research, and the use of print media.
