Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing
[adapted from the web]
The Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing is produced through a long-standing collaboration of three associations: American Educational Research Association (AERA), the American Psychological Association (APA) and the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME).
The Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing was developed to “promote the sound and ethical use of tests and to provide a basis for evaluating the quality of testing practices”. The Standards provides criteria for the “evaluation of tests, testing practices, and the effects of test use”. It is intended to be used by individuals and organizations that develop tests, administer tests, and use test results to make inferences about individuals or groups.
