Rodolpho Rivarola, a lawyer, was appointed to the first psychology faculty chair in Argentina, at the College of Law and Social Sciences at Buenos Aires University. One year later, a physician, Horacio Piñero, was appointed to the second chair in psychology, at the College of Philosophy and Humanities at the University of Buenos Aires.
