1912 - First experimental psychology laboratory in Russia |

On September 1, Georgy I. Chelpanov, a student of Wilhelm Wundt and Carl Stumpf, established the first experimental psychology laboratory in Russia, at Moscow State University. Chelpanov contributed greatly to the growth of psychology as a discipline. His book, Introduction to Experimental Psychology, was published in 1914. The book was revised and reissued in 1918 and 1925.
