The American Psychological Association Committee on International Relations in Psychology (CIRP) was established. Its initial function was to advise on the rehabilitation of European psychology laboratories and libraries damaged or destroyed during World War II. Now one of the oldest standing APA committees, CIRP reports directly to the APA Board of Directors.
