The first Asian Conference in Psychology was held in Singapore. A group of ten countries formed the Asia Oceania Psychological Association at this meeting. The charter members were Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, and Singapore.
