1976 - Muhammad Ajmal National Institute of Psychology (Pakistan) established

The Muhammad Ajmal National Institute of Psychology (Pakistan) was established. It eventually moved to Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. Since 1984 it has offered M.Phil. and Ph.D. degree programs. The institute focuses on research on educational programs, adaptation and development of foreign tests for use in Pakistan, and social-psychological research, including crime and deviant behavior.
