1983 - International Society for Comparative Psychology (ISCP) founded

The International Society for Comparative Psychology (ISCP) was founded in Toronto, Canada. The first election of officers took place at the second meeting, in 1984 in Acapulco, Mexico. Ethel Tobach (USA) was elected president and Rubén Ardila (Colombia) became president-elect.
