An international workshop was held in Singapore in response to the tsunami that struck Southeast Asia in late 2004. The workshop, "Building Psychosocial Interventions in the Tsunami Aftermath," was funded by the American Psychological Association, the International Association of Applied Psychology; the International Society for the Study of Behavioral Development, the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, and Australian Psychological Society, and UNESCO.
