2006 - The International Union of Psychological Science announced the Fondation Mattei Dogan Prize in Psychological Sciences |

The Fondation Mattei Dogan Prize in Psychological Sciences was established by the International Union of Psychological Science (IUPsyS) under the auspices of the Mattei Dogan Foundation, of Paris, France. Professor Rainer Silbereisen, a member of the IUPsyS executive committee, coordinated the prize agreement with the foundation. The Dogan Prize is awarded in recognition of a contribution that represents a major advancement in psychology by a scholar or team of scholars of high international reputation. Michael Posner (U.S.A.) was awarded the first Dogan Prize at the XXIX International Congress of Psychology in 2008, in Berlin, Germany.
