The cognitive-behaviorist therapy program has been established for treating social phobia, and it has been applied as an experimental research for treating social phobic patients.
The sample reached the number of 40 social phobic patients, from Al Khortoum hospitals for Psychological and Psychiatric disorders.
The social phobia questionnaire, social phobia inventory and Beck depression scale were applied on this sample before and after the treatment.
Statistical analysis in type C experiment was applied to determine the variance and the Mann-Witney test and Spearman Footrule correlation. The study concluded the following: the application of cognitive-behaviorist therapy program leads to an important progress in treating social phobic cases. No differences among the types of social phobia were found after applying the cognitive-behaviorist therapy program.
No correlation was found between the degree of progress and the age and the educational level of the patient. |
