Copy In 1975 Richard Bandler and John Grinder, the founders of NLP, met to study thinking patterns and communication linguistics of successful and distinguished individuals regarding their relations both with themselves and with others. The two researchers discovered that excellence can be learned by anyone in a conscious way instead of remaining an unexpected chance for the majority of us. Hence, they created a new science: "Neuro-Linguistic Programming". Still this science develops and flourishes through researshers' contributions in enriching the concepts of "Neuro" which points at our nervous system; that is, the mental gateway to the five senses, "Linguistics" which includes both verbal and non-verbal languages, and "Programming"; that is, our ability to reprogram and reformulate our thoughts, feelings, and behaviour in a way that achieves excellence in all fields of life. The author believes that all religions can enrich this new science. He proposes how "Islam" includes both the principles and instructions which guarantee the effectiveness of Neuro-Linguistic Programming with all its aspects, whether self-awareness, physiology, beliefs, the inner dialogue, modeling, or one's relation with God, himself, and others. Islam also proposes the methodology of selfchange to the better for the individual and the society to achieve success and happiness for all. "Verily! Allah will not change the (good) condition of a people as long as they do not change their state (of goodness) themselves." (Qura'an, Surah 13:11).
