The policies and practices of multinational business companies are often seen as an important influence upon the current process of globalisation. This paper commences by discussing whether it is true that multinational organizations operate in similar ways at widely different locations. The methodological difficulties that must be overcome if valid comparisons are to be made are then illustrated through discussion of relevant published studies of work motivation, leadership and work team behavior. Recent data are used to test what might be the distinctive attributes of leadership roles within Arab nations. |
