The study aimed to know the effects of military service on Sudanese students in personality and social adjustment, on political, national and religious orientation.
The sample reached the number of 200 students chosen randomly from Abu Ashr camp in Al Jazira, using the Bell adjustment inventory, and the scale for political, national and religious orientation prepared by the researcher. The study used the SPSS program for the correlation coefficient, and the analysis of variance. The study found that the military service does not affect social, familial and health adjustment. Even though it leads to a deterioration of their emotional adjustment, and it increases positively their orientation toward political and national programs, but it affects negatively their religious orientations, and has no effect on their religious knowledge. Finally the study presented recommendations and suggestions on this topic. |
