Correlates of emotional intelligence profile and social support network system among the old age people

Copy The present research is an exploratory study conducted to understand the degree of emotional stability of the old aged people in relation to the social support system available in institutionalized and non-institutionalized group. Six dimensions of Arizona social support interview schedule were correlated with seven dimensions of emotional stability profile schedule. The sample was comprised of 120 respondents – 60 institutionalized and 60 non-institutionalized, males and females. Results of the research indicated a positive correlation (significant 0.01) on 04 dimensions of EIP and Social Support network, whereas 02 dimensions were positively correlated at 0.05 level of significance. There were also 09 negative correlations found in the study.
