Islamic psychotherapy for anxiety and depression in heart disease patients |

The research aimed to evaluate and compare the therapeutic programs used. The sample consisted of 72 persons, on whom clinical scales were applied before and after the treatment program, and they are: clinical scale for anxiety and depression, LeCostello and Comry anxiety scale, Beck depression scale, massage electrical device, and a tape containing common Coran verses.
The following statistical reports were used: type C experiment, analysis of variance, Shefia and Touki experiment, and Spearman reliability scale. The results showed significant differences before and after the treatment. The best techniques were: muscle relaxation followed by listening to Coran verses where the progress was of 88.9%, then the technique of listening to Coran verses where the progress was of 82.2%, then the muscle relaxation technique where the progress was of 61.1%. Only the medical treatment showed absence of statistically significant difference and the progress was of 11.11%. |
