The scientific and practical benefit of Psychology has remained for a long time limited to trying to treat individuals and to solve some social issues. But what could Psychology offer in general politics, and peace development issues particularly, is new to Psychology. This might be due to the psychologists themselves or to the politicians and economists who don't see the efficiency of seeking help in Psychology for treating critical issues. Anyway, this paper presents an attempt for integration of Psychology in this new field in order to suggest some solutions for civil war and its persistence, and for slow or absence of development in our country. This paper will treat peace issues from the perspective of how to build peace, and the factors that help in peace making, in order to have permanent peace. This paper will talk also about the role of Psychology in all of the above. Then we will focus on the development issue and what Psychology can offer to realize it. |
