The damage caused by family violence: Treatment and prevention

This paper talks about the damage caused by family violence and specifically violence against children and its psychological effects on the child's normal development. The study showed that physical and psychological violence results in various disorders in children. Among these disorders are depression, anxiety, slow learning, separation anxiety, and others. The paper shows how much the other nations care about this subject through care programs for motherhood, childhood, and through institutes that handle children's issues by doing psychological testing both cognitive and emotional by providing therapy in schools and specialized centers and by using legal strategies to stop and prevent child abuse.

The paper recommends that it is necessary to introduce educational programs and psychological tests by specialists that suit the Arab family's situation within and outside its society in order to protect and prevent the child from the danger of violence.
