The Asian Psychological Association, abbreviated as APsyA, was declared in Jakarta, Indonesia on Monday, August 15th, 2005, at the first convention of the Asian Council of Psychologists.  APsyA operated with an interim President and Board of Directors prior to the adoption of this Constitution in August, 2006, at the first conference of the Asian Psychological Association held in Bali, Indonesia.
