Luis Carrizo is a Psychologist and Master in Local and Regional Development, with PhD studies in Political Science at Sorbonne-NouvelleUniversité, Paris. He is a consultant at the UNESCO Montevideo Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean. He is the Coordinator of the UNESCO Chair on Social Transformations and Human Condition, at theCLAEH University (Centro Latinoamericano de Economía Humana), the institution of which he was Academic Vice-Rector from 2005 to 2010, and a current member of the Board of Directors (2023-2026). He is the former Secretary General of the Coordinadora de Psicólogos del Uruguay (2019-2023), member of the Scientific Committee of the Observatory of Psychology in Latin America (OPAL), and an International Member of the APA (American Psychological Association). He has been a member of the Higher Education Advisory Council of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Uruguay. Member of the Group of Experts on Education in Values and Citizenship, as advisor to the Secretary General of the Organization of Ibero-American States(OEI). Founder of the Uruguayan Network of Complex Thought. Former Coordinator of the Center for Studies and Research in Public Administration, CEIAP (National School of Public Administration, Uruguay). Consultant for several international organizations (IADB, CLAD, OAS,OEI, SEGIB, UNFPA). Author of numerous publications at national and international level. He is a member of several knowledge management and policy networks and communities (ebpdn, GDNet, EIAPP, AIS,among others).V isiting professor at various universities in Latin America, Europe, and Africa.
