Rozainee Khairudin Profile

Associate Prof. Dr. Rozainee Khairudin completed her master’s and doctoral degrees in Cognitive Science from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. Her main research interest are in mindset, emotion and memory, and deception in delinquency. She is currently the Deputy Dean at Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia. She is also the past President of Malaysian Psychological Association (PSIMA).

Rozainee Khairudin plays her active role as an External Assessor at the Open University Malaysia (OUM) for the Bachelor of Psychology with Honours program (term 2020-2023) and for the Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology program at the International Medical University Malaysia (IMU) (term 2019-2021). She was also an External Assesor at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) for doctoral programs in Psychology and Cognitive Science. She is appointed as an External Examiner for the University of Reading (UoRM), HELP University, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Sunway University, and Monash University for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. In safeguarding the quality of psychology programs in higher education, she consults and advises as one of the panelists specializing in cognitive psychology and cognitive science for the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). She serves as a journal reviewer for Heliyon and Publons, and in a similar capacity at Elsevier. In 2020, she contributed as a reviewer for Wiley’s Nursing Open. She is also referred to as a consultant for Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA), Airbus France, STRAND, and TRUE VOX Asia. She has also made a national appearance on Media Prima’s Wanita Hari Ini (WHI) as well as Astro to educate the public on psychological issues.

As part of her scholarly contributions, Rozainee Khairudin also acts as a co-researcher in various other research works for external institutions including the Sunway University, Monash University as well as Herriot-Watt University. She is the Editor-in-Chief for the Malaysian Journal of Psychology (Jurnal Psikologi Malaysia; JPM). Among her most significant contributions especially to the psychology community in UKM is the establishment of the Cognition and Stress Lab – well equipped with an electroencephalography (EEG) machine.

With a deep passion to share her knowledge and expertise, she has been invited to speak on numerous local and international platforms as a keynote speaker as well as an international speaker. In 2019, The Wave Clinic Kuala Lumpur has invited her as a distinguished guest to officiate a training series by internationally renowned speakers. She is also recognized as a guest lecturer at the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom and Universidad De Ixtlahuaca, Mexico.
