Xun Liu Profile

Xun Liu (刘勋), PhD, is Professor at the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Department of Psychology at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research focuses on cognitive control, reward processing, decision-making, social cognition, addiction, cognitive and brain development, and neuroimaging.

Professor Liu received his BS and MS in Psychology from Peking University and his PhD in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. His academic and research career has included appointments at the University of Colorado Boulder, Weill Medical College of Cornell University, the University of Kentucky, and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Since 2010, he has served as Professor at the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

His research publications span cognitive neuroscience, behavioural science and neuroimaging, with particular emphasis on the neural mechanisms underlying cognition, decision-making and behaviour.
