The International Union of Psychological Science (IUPsyS) joins the global community in supporting International Women’s Day and celebrates the many women who have contributed to the development and advancement of psychology as a scientific discipline dedicated to promoting human wellbeing and psychological health.
Across generations and across regions of the world, women psychologists have played a vital role in shaping the breadth and depth of psychological science, from foundational research to applied practice, from education and policy to international scientific collaboration. Their scholarship, leadership, and dedication have strengthened psychology as a rigorous, evidence-based, and socially relevant field of knowledge.
On this International Women’s Day, IUPsyS recognises and honours the contributions of women whose work has advanced psychological science and who continue to ensure that our discipline contributes meaningfully to the well-being, dignity, and thriving of people and communities around the world.
