The International Union of Psychological Science would like to extend a message of solidarity and support to the people and communities in Australia affected by the devastating impact of bushfires. Professor Pam Maras, President, said: ‘the human cost of disasters such as this are a harsh reminder that we should not forget the need to maintain our compassion in whatever field we work. The involvement of the Australian Psychological Society in supporting and providing resources for Australians to prepare and recover from this disaster are important for recovery and highlight the need for an international repository of resources’.
