New editor for the International Journal of Psychology

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Dr. Rainer K. Silbereisen as editor for the International Journal of Psychology (IJP).

The IJP is the official journal of the International Union of Psychological Science (IUPsyS) in consortium with more than 80 organisations of psychology around the globe. Together, the IJP and IUPsyS have a long history in promoting the development, representation and advancement of psychology as a basic and applied science nationally, regionally, and internationally.

For 2014, Rainer is excited to unveil a new mission statement for IJP, which coincides with the change in publisher to Wiley, and the 125th anniversary of IUPsyS:

The International Journal of Psychology (IJP) advances psychological research of interest and relevance for the human condition around the world, and serves as the outlet for internationally relevant basic and applied research in scientific psychology.

You can learn more about the journal by watching Rainer’s Introductory Video-cast:

Contributions are greatly encouraged from all fields of psychology, especially those that address new developments and pursue innovative approaches. Please see the journal’s aims and scope to see what IJP is looking to publish.

Rainer K. Silbereisen is currently Research Professor and Director of the Center for Applied Developmental Science (CADS) of the Friedrich Schiller University, Jena, Germany. He welcomes potential authors of the IJP to get in touch with their comments or queries at rainer.silbereisen[at]
